Bargain and sale by Thomas Seyliard of Delaware in the parish of Brasted (Kent), esquire, to John Petter of Hever (Kent), clerk, for £50 in hand of a parcel of land containing 3 acres in Hever, now or late in the tenure of Anthony Brooker, yeoman, bounded by the messuage or tenement whereon the said John Petter now dwells, and some land thereto belonging formerly in the possession of Edmund Baluw, clerk (deceased), to the east; the lands of Thomas Wincherley, citizen of London, to the west; other lands of Thomas Seyliard now in the occupation of Anthony Brooker and a pitt there belonging to a field now in the occupation of John Petter and also belonging to the said Edmond Baluw to the North; and the land leading to the said messuage (wherein the said John Petter now dwells) to the south; with the timber, trees, pollards, and woods growing thereon. Warranty against all persons claiming through the said Thomas or William Seyliard his late father, esquire. Note on dorse: before sealing, all parties agreed that the property would be wholly maintained by John Petter.
